Ben Heikoop founded Bullwarc in 2015, following the completion of his Master’s in Engineering and Public Policy at McMaster University. After acquiring a major VCI distributor in Montreal, Ben grew Bullwarc into Canada’s largest distributor of VCI products. Today, the company houses over 100 distinct rust-control solutions at its Hamilton facility. With over a decade of experience collaborating with major nuclear plants and Tier 1 equipment manufacturers, Ben remains deeply involved in the business. He works directly with clients to provide technical expertise and on-site consultations, specializing in metal preservation within the nuclear and manufacturing sectors.

Mohammed Hafiz is a veteran engineer with over two decades of experience in the global oil and gas industry. A 2004 graduate in Mechanical Production Engineering from Alexandria University, Egypt, Mohammed has built a distinguished career as a construction professional specializing in onshore and offshore petroleum operations. In 2016, he joined Cortec Middle East as a Senior Preservation Engineer, where he spent nearly a decade designing and executing complex asset protection projects across the region. Now based in Montreal, Mohammed joined the Bullwarc team in 2025, bringing his world-class expertise in preservation science to industrial projects across Canada.

Whether storing a gearbox or shutting down an entire production facility, Bullwarc can protect your assets until startup.
During plant construction, seasonal protection may be required. In 2022 Bullwarc assisted with the preservation of the Nova Chemical plant in Sarnia during construction. This included preserving steam piping that had been installed and would not be in use for over 6 months. By fogging Cortec 339 into the pipe we were able to preserve the pipe until startup.
